My 270 method

In teaching mathematics I give students opportunity to create educational content instead of paper exam. Students have some control over what they learn how to show what they have learned. Encouraging them to be independent and responsible for the results of their work. Meaningful and independent learning with real example how computers, Internet and mobile devices can be used to create content and develop their organizational and presentation skills. Important aspect is that students' works are published online so other students can learn from these educational resources. I developed Method 270 during last three years as answer to give students to be creator of content, owner of their learning not just consumer. I worked with four classes of 13-14 years old students, teaching Mathematics in Primary school, situated in rural area. Students used school computer lab but mostly creating works at home. After initial very positive feedback I also included interactive face to face presentations (pitching) so students have to show their work in class, answer questions and engage peers. Choose topic and discuss it on educational social network 2. Create content, find different resources, use lateral thinking outside textbooks 3. Show draft, ask for advice, improve work 4. Present in class, ask and answer questions, evaluate yourself 5. Improve Inclusion: 

Method 270 gives students oportunity to show their knowledge in different ways, not just on paper exams. That approach improved diversity of learning ways especially for students with some difficulties. It shows that all students can be creators of interactive digital content, and gives them all to show their work and to be proud of it.

ICT Education Tech: 

Intensivly. Method 270 is a was to give studenty chance to create new content using ICT and make it meaningful for further generations so they can learn from it. All students works are digital content, available online, presented with technology support. Also in process of creation we used social network (Yammer) to discuss, share resources and ideas, give advice and ask questions.

Materials Shared: 

Yes all students works are published online, openly accessible for further use. They are published on different services, reflecting tool they used but later gathered on school web page - our digital repository for Mathematics

Not me personaly, but students used different resources, some of them open resources.
