Where is the open education community?

The word open is widely used in education contexts to prefix many different activities: open source, open standards, open practice, open resources, open data etc.. The Open Education special interest group is looking to increase awareness of the many shades of open education activities and communities that exist and we have created this visualisation to help join those dots: https://padlet.com/Debbaff/joiningtheopendots If you sign in to Padlet you can add your open community to our board. Our aim to to surface the shared values that each of these communities holds dear. Your thoughts are welcome! Teresa MacKinnon Co-Chair Open Education SIG https://altc.alt.ac.uk/oesig/#gref
